It looks like the time of Moto G4 – the leader of a budget phone, is about to come to an end with the launch of Moto G5 that possesses improved processor, a metal structure at an affordable price.
Considering the design and features, let us compare the two sizzlers, Moto G5 and Moto G4 to get the clear idea of the two.
Moto G5 vs Moto G4 – What’s the Difference?

Moto G5 has come with a metal built along with the fingerprint sensor at the front. Fingerprint sensor also adds up the home button which undoubtedly now counting down its days with the launch of LG G6 who wiped away the physical feature and the leading companies like Samsung and Apple are also all set to follow the same.
Moto G5 also comprises rear camera featuring camera lens and flash module. It possesses Micro USB that is placed at the bottom and 3.5mm headphone jack at the top. The “M” brand is placed under the rear camera. Moto G5 hit the scales with 144.5g and measures 144.3 x 73 x 9.5mm.
Talking about Moto G4, it features metal frame but with plastic at the back. Moto G4 has a delicate rear camera, and the branding “M” remains the same. However, Moto G4 lacks fingerprint sensor. Micro USB and a headphone jack are same as Moto G5. Motorola Moto G4 weighs 155g and measures 153 x 76.6 x 9.8mm.
Moto G5 vs. Moto G4 – Display:
Comparing Moto G5 with its predecessor Moto G4, it has managed to set aside one of the only real issues of the uncomfortable screen size that was 5.5 – inch display in case of Moto G4. Moto G5 has come with a 5-inch display which offers much more comfort holding and a refined feeling.

Moto G5 vs. Moto G4 – Hardware:
Talking about last year, Moto G4 worked wonders with 2GB RAM and Qualcomm Snapdragon 617, making it one of the most powerful low priced Smartphone. This time, for Moto G5 Motorola neglected the 2GB RAM, however, this year the model is packed with 1.4GHz octa-core Snapdragon 430 processor which is set to offer more speed than Moto G4. When it comes to storing, the users are going to get the same as last years that is a 16GB of storage capacity which can be expanded to 128GB by adding up a Micro SD card.
This time Motorola has decided to use small size battery. Last year model, Moto G4 encompasses 3000mAh cell which is now cut down to 28000mAh battery for Moto G5. However, it is not a big issue as it does not have to power a large display screen of 5.5 – inches as it used to support in Moto G4.

Moto G5 runs with the latest combo Android 7.0 Nougat and Google assistant who offers pure Android Experience and fast updates.
