Step 1: Download zip file of Jelly Bean 4.2.2 Slim Custom ROM for Sony Xperia S LT26i and Google apps Signed to your computer.

Step 2: Once download is completed, place the downloaded files into external SD card.

Step 3: Switch off your phone and enter into bootloader mode by pressing Volume down button for few times (while booting).

Step 4: Now, you have perform data wiping task. To do so, select “wipe data/factory reset“, then select “Yes” for confirmation and wait till the data wipe is complete. Now, go to CWM recovery main menu. Select “wipe cache partition” and after that, select “Wipe Dalvik Cache” under advance option to perform Dalvik cache wiping.

Step 5: Again come to the CWM recovery main menu from there select “Install zip from sdcard” and go to the path where you have placed Jelly Bean 4.2.2 Slim Custom ROM for Sony Xperia S LT26i. As you select the installation will start and it will take 3-5 minutes to complete so don’t hesitate let the installation to be completed.

Step 6: Once the ROM installation is completed, repeat the “Step 5” again but there you have to choose “Gapps zip file” instead of ROM zip to install the Google apps package.

Step 7: Finally, when the installation process is completed select “++++Go Back++++” and then choose “reboot system” to reboot your phone.     My xperia S doesn´t start after the installation, I mean it vibrates like a normal start but the screen still black (shout down) I have to wait for 10-15 min before the screen shows something?

    My bootloader is not unlocked.

    • Do this and your problem will be solved!

        Thanks, but my phone doesn´t even boot, it doesn´t make anything, I can not enter on boot mode ´cause it doesn´t boot.

        • That’s impossible! Try it after sometime and if it boots then after doing wiping again install the ROM. The ROM is perfectly working L(

    im on XS .211….and i can’t unlock my bootloader because it is not allowed…Can’t i try this rom on a locked bootloder???If not is there any roms for my locked XS??

    Its saying setup failure or something with an “OK” button at the bottom and when I press OK it does the same thing

    the rom installed ok but da gapps never did.it says ‘unfortunately the gapps failed ‘.i had to downgrade it back to 4.1.2

    • You can enter into CWM Recovery mode by pressing and holding “Volume Down + Power KEy” for few seconds and from there you have to select “Recovery”.
