From that, one of the best series of HTC is HTC One series, it includes HTC One X, HTC One V, HTC One (M7), and others. All this phones are running on Android only, so now-a-days it’s a trend that if you have Android then you have to root your device. Today, in this article I will show you the easiest way to root HTC One X. As you will traverse below, we will surely guide you through the complete process on how to root HTC One X XDA Forum and HTC One X+. But, before that please read the prerequisite, disclaimer and other important notes. Let’s start our journey!

This article is divided into two sections:

Prerequisites:

1. Make sure your mobile should possess 70 to 80% battery

2. Enable USB debugging mode (Menu (app drawer) > Settings > Manage Applications > Development > USB Debugging – check box)

3. Ensure that you have backed up your all important data.

4. Your phone Bootloader must be unlocked. If not then unlock from HTCdev site.

5. Install USB Drivers. (Download HTC One X Windows Drivers or Download HTC Sync Manager (Contains Drivers))

Steps To Install CWM Recovery on HTC One X and HTC One X+

Step 1: First, you have to download “Root Kit”  from above link depending on your phone model and provider.

Step 2: Extract the downloaded “Root Kit” on your Computer’s desktop.

Step 3: In the extracted folder, you’ll find an “.exe” program then launch it.

Step 4: Switch off your phone and enter into bootloader mode by “pressing & holding Volume down + Power Button together“. From there, choose “Fastboot” to boot in Hboot menu.

Step 5: Connect your device to your Computer in the Bootloader mode itself.

Note: Make sure you have installed the USB drivers correctly. If you want “ADB drivers” then you can found in the root kit itself.

Step 6: From the open window, navigate to “Flash a Recovery” option and from there choose your desired recovery.

Step 7: Click on “Flash Recovery“.

Step 8: Wait for a few seconds and Once the process is completed, restart your device.

At this stage, CWM Recovery is successfully installed on your HTC One X or HTC One X+.

Step 9: Now, you have to copy “SuperSu for HTC One X and HTC One X+” from the root kit to your device.

Step 10: Switch off your phone and enter into bootloader mode by “pressing & holding Volume down + Power Button together“. From there, choose “Recovery” to boot in Hboot menu.

Step 11: Now, select “install zip from SD card” > choose “SuperSu file” from the memory > choose “YES” to give confirmation and wait for a few seconds.

    Hi, I tried this method, it doesn’t work when I try to instal CWM, the program can’t find my phone…It works when I instal the TWRP but when I try to instal the super su I cand do nothing. It just freezes, the touch wont work, and it is useless. Can you please help me?
