1. Make sure your mobile should possess 70 to 80% battery

2. Enable USB debugging mode (Menu (app drawer) > Settings > Manage Applications > Development > USB Debugging – check box)

3. Ensure that you have backed up your all important data.

4. Your phone Bootloader must be unlocked. If not then unlock from HTCdev site.

5. Install USB Drivers. (Download HTC USB Drivers or Download HTC Sync Manager (Contains Drivers))

How to root HTC One V

Step 1: Download Superboot Package and extract it on the desktop. Download Superboot img file.

Step 2: In the Superboot extracted folder, place the Superboot img file. (Note: If it ask to replace then replace it)

Step 3: Switch off your phone and enter into bootloader mode by pressing & holding Volume down + Power Button together.

Step 4: As you enter into bootloader, highlight the “fastboot” option via “Volume keys” and select by pressing “Power keys“. Immediately, connect the phone via USB cable to your computer.

Step 5: Now, again open the extracted folder from your computer and navigate to the “install-superboot-windows.bat“, open it and rooting process will start on HTC One V.

Step 6: Once all the process will be over, your device will be rebooted automatically. As your device started, you will see the “Superuser” app installed on your phone.

    Every time i try to root the phone it come up with some words that say the build is for development purposes only Do not distribute outside of HTC without HTC’ s written permission. failure to comply may lead to legal action.
