Further extracting the tar file gavet he following files: boot.bin,cache.rfs, factoryfs.rfs, modem.bin, param.lfs, Sbl.bin ,zImage. In these files I dont find any files name contains CODE in it. Could you guide me how do I select the files from the above list in ODIN. Thnx in advance

    • http://www.idroidspace.com Sohil Memon

Hey Hello, don’t dare to extract the “.tar” file. Have read the post fully? I nthat I mention that if you don’t find any files then just go for “PDA” only and you’re job will be done!

  • Simphiwe

I was using custom Roms before and have been running with a lot of issues ever since (freezing and phone crashing). Kies was unable to recognize the phone. So after flashing with this Rom, will Kies be able to recognize the phone again?

  • Rakesh

    Hi,

I have flashed my device with this firmware using odin, It installed the firmware through ODIN but my device didnt reboot atuomatically, and I rebooted it. But it always keeps on restarting. It never resume from there. Please let me know what might be causing the problem.

    Rakesh

    • http://www.idroidspace.com Sohil Memon

      Do this:

      1. Switch off the phone completely
      2. Press and hold “Volume Up + Home Button + Power Button” for few seconds.
      3. Now you will be into Stock Recovery mode seeing some “4 – 5 options”. You can use volume buttons to navigate and power button to select.
      4. Now, navigate to “factory data reset” and click ok.
      5. Now, select Wipe “Cache Partition” and click “OK”
      6. Reboot you device.
      And you are done

      • Rakesh

This didnt work out. Tried Volume Up + Home +Power. But No success. Still the same. Looks like I am using .tar instead of .md5. Can you give me the password of the Europe version firmware. Will give a try with that.

    • Rakesh

Adding to that following are the things I used:
      1. Downloaded the XXJW4-UK version. Extracted that and found it had a .tar file and SS.dll file.
      2. Connected to Odin, selected check boxes as in this post. Clicked PDA and then added the .tar file and flashed the firmware.

I am doing something wrong.I heard that in PDA we must give the .tar.md5 file and not the .tar file. But the firware XXJW4~UK dont have the .md5 in .tar file.

      • Rakesh

And your I9000XXJVU_I9000OXAJVU_OXA.zip contains the .tar.md5 files, but its asking me the password to extract this zip. Can you please tell me the password. Its very urgent and I am not able to use my phone at all.

      • http://www.idroidspace.com Sohil Memon

First tell me this is the firmware which you have downloaded?
If yes then I hope it will not ask for any of the password.
And other than that oyu have just extract the .zip file and whatever you get just go for it!

  • dulan
