I think I did everything except flash the kernel.
    I tried sudo ./fastboot flash:raw kernel boot-HELLBOY-42-201302150110.img
    but it fails with
    FAILED (remote: signature verify fail)

    I can do:
    sudo ./fastboot boot boot-HELLBOY-42-201302150110.img
    every time I boot.

    I also tried sudo ./fastboot flash:raw kernel boot-HELLBOY-42-201302150110.img
    but it fails with
    FAILED (remote: not allowed)

    I finally fixed it with:
    sudo ./fastboot flash boot boot-HELLBOY-42-201302150110.img

The camera doesn’t work, it says “the gallery has stopped” and it quits.

  • Abu Iyas

Definitely do not recommend using this ROM, far too many problems. Camera doesn’t work, music doesn’t play through headphones, many many crashes, keyboard disappears, just to name a few. I do however appreciate the time people have put into this.

Anyway, I want to revert back to my “stock rom” but can’t find how to achieve this easily. I can’t seem to access my USB Mass Storage any more, my computer just doesn’t recognise it.

    Please help.

after flashing , phone stuck with “htc” screen.

ok, so after all I did manage to solve this whole mess. things to note for further reference:
    – if youre S-ON (which I am), you need to manually flash the boot.img – but not the one called Hellboy…etc.img, because that seems to be broken, and leads to a soft brick, instead the one in the ROM’s zip package (it’s simply called boot.img). extract it from there, place it in a folder where you have a fastboot binary, and do the flashing manually via usb cable (the appropriate command is: fastboot flash boot boot.img)
    – if you’re smart enough to do a CWM backup before this whole operation, you are safe to restore that after the reinstallation of the ROM and the flashing of the kernel (boot.img), and in the end you are going to get a phone with full functionality (WiFi and Bluetooth are both working!), and all the settings, apps, widgets and whatnot you had before.
please allow this comment so other users can use it. thanks.
